My work draws on a variety of printmaking, painting and drawing techniques. I work on paper, canvas and board to produce one off pieces that have a rich surface quality.

Linseed oil based ink is painted directly on to an acetate board, paper is placed on the top and both are passed through a printing press. Each piece is then drawn in to and overpainted using a variety of mediums including graphite, gold leaf, charcoal, acrylic paint and linseed oil.

Inspired by urban and rural landscapes my work is formed of many layers creating texture and spatial values, often mixing aerial views with horizontal slices of landscape or architecture

Each piece describes real or imagined landscapes, created from impressions of how I remember them, or feel about them, rather than a literal or accurate representation.
